Exciplex®-Excimer Laser
Exciplex® is a narrowband UVB excimer light system that provides a 308-nanometer wavelength, specifically designed for treating autoimmune skin conditions, including psoriasis, vitiligo, pityriasis alba, and atopic dermatitis. This technology has been reviewed by the U.S. FDA and has obtained the European CE mark and ISO 13485 certification, demonstrating its high quality and safety.
Exciplex® is one of the smallest excimer devices in the world, weighing only two pounds and featuring an intuitive touchscreen interface for ease of use. Its large treatment window covers up to 25 square centimeters, with adjustable output power reaching up to 2,500 milliwatts, catering to various patient needs. These attributes make Exciplex® an efficient, portable, and valuable skin treatment option, offering patients exceptional therapeutic results and a comfortable experience.
Features of Exciplex®-Excimer Laser
Exciplex® phototherapy system delivers excellent and visible clinical results while preserving the integrity of the surrounding healthy skin. Treating autoimmune diseases requires no ablation, incision, or laser, making the procedure painless.
High power
100mW/cm² radiation frequency and 2500mW total power enable rapid treatment.
No anesthesia required
Unlike other treatments that necessitate the application of anesthetic cream before a procedure, the Exciplex® phototherapy system does not. Since UVB light is the only light emitted by Exciplex®, there is no need to apply anesthetic cream to the treatment area.
Precision
25 cm² spot size can treat wide areas, while the reduced-tip option allows for precise treatment of smaller lesions, protecting healthy skin.
Ease of operation
A color touchscreen interface with an intuitive layout requires only one parameter: dosage.
Ergonomics
Modern design ensures a comfortable grip. Compact and lightweight makes it easy to carry.
Versatile applications
Exciplex® emits 308nm monochromatic excimer light, the most effective wavelength for treating chronic autoimmune skin conditions. This innovative and advanced device offers unparalleled clinical efficacy, widely recognized by dermatologists globally for its patients’ benefits.
Personalized for skin needs
Different skin types have unique energy requirements for treating various autoimmune skin conditions. Exciplex® allows adjustable energy output controlled with a single button press.
Scope of Treatment for Exciplex®-Excimer Laser
Exciplex® is the smallest monochromatic excimer light platform, designed to treat localized autoimmune skin disorders and dermatological conditions including:
- Vitiligo (leukoderma/white patches)
- Psoriasis
- Alopecia areata
- Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
- Mycosis
Before-After Treatment
** Results are influenced by multiple factors, and actual outcomes may vary between individuals.

Vitiligo (leukoderma/white patches)
Vitiligo (leukoderma/white patches) is a condition characterized by the loss of melanocytes or pigment-producing cells in the skin type of melanin. This causes noticeable lightening of spots on the skin. Although vitiligo is non-contagious and painless, it can impact a person’s confidence and self-esteem.
Exciplex® phototherapy exposes the skin to narrowband UVB to increase the necessary melanocytes without affecting the surrounding skin.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a common skin condition affecting millions of people worldwide. It causes skin cells to multiply ten times faster than normal, leading to itchy, raised, and red patches due to excessive buildup.
Psoriasis can occur on any part of the body, but it is most commonly found on the elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back.
Exciplex® relieves psoriasis pain and itching by reducing inflammation and slowing down the production of skin cells using UVB light.
Within 48 hours of the initial exposure, MEL therapy significantly reduces T cells in psoriasis-affected skin. The 308nm light eliminates T cells in both the epidermis and dermis of psoriasis lesions.

Alopecia areata
Alopecia areata is a common autoimmune disease affecting millions of people worldwide. Unlike permanent or gradual hair loss, alopecia areata is characterized by patchy bald spots on the scalp. The size of these patches can vary, ranging from the diameter of a coin to as large as a small plate.
Exciplex® phototherapy works by inhibiting T cells, which are commonly regarded as the primary cause of alopecia areata. This process enables the regrowth of healthy hair.
Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
Atopic dermatitis (eczema) is a skin condition characterized by intense itching and red patches. It is common in children but can affect adults of any age.
Exciplex® UVB phototherapy uses 308nm monochromatic excimer light to deliver high-intensity UVB, targeting affected areas while safeguarding surrounding skin. This treatment clears eczema with just a few sessions. Patients report minimal side effects and good treatment tolerance.

Mycosis Fungoides
MEL phototherapy may be a highly effective treatment option for managing patch-stage IA mycosis fungoides (MF).
